In „Amaro Filmos“ (auf Romanes „Unser Film“) geben junge Roma* aus Berlin einen Einblick in ihr Leben und in ihre Gedankenwelt. Mit Humor und Selbstbewusstsein beantworten die Protagonist:innen die Frage: Wie sehen wir uns? Wie werden wir von anderen gesehen? Und was bewegt uns? Der partizipativ entwickelte Dokumentarfilm beleuchtet nicht nur die Träume, Zukunftswünsche und Rollenbilder einer Generation, sondern auch brennende gesellschaftliche Probleme: Rassismus, Gentrifizierung und die damit einhergehende räumliche Verdrängung einer ganzen Community.
In "Amaro Filmos" ("Our Film" in Romany) young Roma* from Berlin give an insight into their lives and their thoughts. With humor and self-confidence the protagonists answer the question: How do we see ourselves? How are we seen by others? And what moves us? The participatively developed documentary not only throws light on the dreams, wishes and role models of a generation, but also burning social problems: racism, gentrification and the associated spatial displacement of an entire community.
